Calories in perspective

We all know that staying fit comes at a price. We can easily consume more than 300 calories by eating one hamburger, but it is not as easy to burn those calories. Just to put it in perspective on average to burn 300 calories you will need to walk for an hour. However, calories are essential for our body to maintain its function and each person's caloric intake differs. But we need to be mindful of putting in extra calories that our body does not need and will turn it into fat.

To burn off the extra calories and the stored fats exercise is usually the preferred method. However, exercising shouldn't be a free ticket to eating whatever that is desired. The best way of staying fit while losing weight is creating a caloric deficiency, meaning eating less (around 500 calories less) than what the calculated caloric intake is. Eating fewer calories but eating healthy, coupled with exercise is a safe guarantee for weight loss.
